Description

Starting Wednesday, April 7, we are challenging the members of BC High's parent and guardian community to come together for our boys during the Spring into Action for BC High campaign. For the next week, we will be highlighting a different bucket of support within the Fund for BC High where your gift can have a special impact. There will be spotlights and surprises throughout the week, so we hope you will join us in "springing" into action for our school!

The Fund for BC High

The Fund for BC High provides support for all areas of the School, including, but not limited to Academics, Arts, Athletics, Faculty Support, Financial Aid, and Technology. All gifts, whether $25 or $25,000 are vital as BC High continues its nearly 160-year tradition of providing an exceptional education to today's students. Participating at any level is a vote of confidence in the mission, faculty, and administration. There is no better way to show your loyalty to BC High.

Are you ready to Spring into Action?

Spring is in full bloom at Morrissey Boulevard – and that means it’s time for our Spring into Action campaign for BC High parents and guardians!

Each day, from Wednesday, April 7, through Wednesday, April 14, we will be celebrating an area or program at BC High where your gift can make an impact.

Think of your son’s BC High story. Has it led him across the world with the Hyde Center for Global Education, or to downtown Boston serving in the St. Louis Project with Campus Ministry? Whether shining on stage in the Bulger Performing Arts Center or bringing home a win on Cotter Field, our students are forever changed by the countless opportunities that BC High provides. With your help, we'll strengthen these incredible programs and ensure that a BC High education is within reach for talented young men regardless of their financial means.

This year, your gift to the Fund for BC High can make an impact in six different ways:

  • Area of Greatest Need: You can provide BC High leadership the ability to respond quickly and swiftly to new opportunities or areas of necessity within the school at any given time.
  • Arts: You can cultivate the creativity of our BC High students by sustaining the school’s academic courses and co-curricular activities in the visual and performing arts.
  • Athletics: You can support our student-athletes who are competing at the #4 school on Niche's 2021 Best High Schools for Athletes in America.
  • Global Education: You can encourage our boys to be "Global Citizens", and support our programs at the Hyde Center.
  • Faith & Justice: You can support the mission-oriented work at BC High, including our campus ministry and our office of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Financial Aid: You can ensure that BC High can continue to enroll outstanding young men, regardless of their families’ financial circumstances.

And remember - though a different program will be highlighted each day of the campaign, a gift can be made to any area at any time this week! This means you don't have to wait to make a contribution to the Arts, or worry that you missed your chance to support Global Education. We hope you will remember the impact that BC High has had on your family and join us in making a gift this week to support our school, our community and our boys.

Thank you for your partnership in sustaining our mission. Every gift makes a difference, and together we will have a tremendous impact!

If you'd like to make your Spring into Action gift by check or have another preferred method of giving, please email us at advancementoffice@bchigh.edu or call (617) 474-5030 to speak with a member of our team.

Why are donations necessary?

Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a BC High education. The Fund for BC High is what makes the depth and breadth of our boys’ experience possible – retreats, clubs, intramurals, service programs like the St. Louis project – none of that would happen without parent and family support.
